The race of bidar competition in Sambas is very interesting indeed. I used to watch this even a few years ago also in the same area, Sambas. I hope the government of West Kalimantan will be pleased to put all this event inside the annual tourism calendar of West Kalimantan.

I hope many local people and also visitors from abroad can witness this traditional sampan race that might be one of the most important events of the Sambas regency

Having read this article of Sampan Bidar Race, I have a feeling that the event will be having good support and financially backed up bu the government of Sambas Regency.

This could be possible due to the race can be enjoyed not only by witnesses of local Sambas people but also for visitors from other cities of even from other countries who came there to visit and watch the race.

Well done

I do not know how the race of Sampan Bidar here in Sambas could run very well. Is there any judges from other cities or any independent one there thought?.

When I visited Palembang city in Sumatera island, I came across some local Sampan drove by local people for trading and also doing something else. I think the sampan type and size is equal to what happen in Sumatera. There is only one people driving down the boat and the boat could load it up with some local fruits or vegetables to trade.

Do you have something in common here regarding the model of the Sampan. Is it true that the kidn of the sampan is the same as they are in Palembang in general?
