For the second time the regency of Sambas district to host the International race boat taking place in Sambas. Certainty by conducting this special events will be a good moment to succeed the year of visiting to Kalimantan Barat by the year of 2010. The Coordinator LAMS Kalbar, Nurkamil Abdi, confirmed that LAMS International Bidar Race 2008 is a continuation of previous similar events held in 2001 ago. Then, tens of thousands of people Sambas district and surrounding areas in the Muare Ulakan to see dozens of participants from the race boat in and outside the country in action.
Starting from the success of past events, the wish to return to perform the same activities this year. One reason for choosing 2008 as the implementation, because in the middle of this year the government implement the program Visit Indonesia Year 2008. In addition to the agenda this international race will be made as annual tours, activities are also planned with associated with the Anniversary of the Prince Consort Sambas, National Independece and the transfer of the capital city of Sambas and also to succeed Visit Indonesia Year 2008 and visiting Kalbar in 2010. Bidar in LAMS International Festival 2008, for the first time will be performed by the paddle 20, which getting n trophies from the Chairman, Mr. H LAMS Kalbar Morkes Effendi.

They have planned to invite former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Datuk Muhamad Mahathir to witness LAMS International Bidar Race 2008," said Abdi.

This will be very much special traditional even by Sambas people. I would love to see and enjoy this beautiful sampan bidar race in the near future. I hope the government of tourism in Kalbar will certainly inform all information about the future agenda in Sambas.
with all beautiful scenery of Indonesia will be very much interesting if we can visit and enjoy some tourist objects and attractions as well. This will also happen in Sambas regency too whose special events have been successfully conducted last July.

The Sampan bidar race itself was not intended as special events to be enjoyed by local people in Sambas only. The event is for everyone, and all people here especially in West Kalimantan has the right to see and enjoy the beauty of Sambas and also enjoy any activities there too.
I recommend all people to visit Sambas regency especially enjoying the Sampan Bidar race which can be nationally recognized if you keep on promoting the events in anyway whatsover
I have an opinion that the attendance of former prime minister of our neighbor Malaysia, or any officials came from the country, will make our relationship with Malaysia will be fine.
We should not make any unnecessary way of struggling with the people of Malaysia since we are from the same race and the same faith as moslem country in the world. We are the best for everything and unity together
The information listed here was very useful for new traveler like me whose interest are visiting to historical remains and tourist attractions through out the world. I used to visit Semarang, and Jogjakarta for sightseeing, but I never witness a very unique and traditional heritages as they were.
